excellent experience

clean roomsmooth experienceexpensive room
self check-in and check-out worked well. the room was clean, and everything went smoothly. the location had good value for money (i will say, this is rare these days!).
i noticed that the room was quite expensive, especially considering there was no breakfast included (a small detail, but still important).
Dining
9/10
Many restaurants are nearby. There are several options within a short walk. i found a great bakery just up the hill at queen's park for breakfast, it had a great selection of pastries and breads.
Rooms
8/10
the double room was spacious. it had a comfortable bed, ensuring a good night's sleep (comfort is key when you travel a lot!). the room also had coffee and tea facilities, a nice touch.
Service
9/10
Communication was entirely online. There was no reception desk. i received the room number and access codes in advance, which simplified the check-in process.
Location
9/10
the hotel had a good location. it was within walking distance of both the beach and the city centre. i found the hotel relatively easy and inexpensive to park my car, an important consideration.

adequate but with issues

good locationurine stainsbathroom cleanliness
the location was a good choice, close to the beach.
the shower and bathroom floors had a white powder substance all over. i had to clean urine stains on the toilet seat before use (a very unpleasant task). i was disappointed with this aspect of the stay.

average stay with some drawbacks.

poor insulationinsufficient heating
The noise insulation was substandard. It was almost impossible to sleep well. i could hear everything happening outside and in adjacent rooms. the heating was also insufficient. The room was cold, especially considering the time of year. i found these issues detracted from the overall experience.
